Atlanta: tonight mostly clear, low around 49; Wednesday sunny, high near 75.

Macon: tonight mostly clear, low around 47; Wednesday sunny, high near 79.

Savannah: tonight clear, low around 54; Wednesday sunny, high near 75.

Augusta: tonight mostly clear, low around 49; Wednesday sunny, high near 76.

Columbus: tonight mostly clear, low around 48; Wednesday sunny, high near 78.

Thomasville: tonight clear, low around 48; Wednesday sunny, high near 78.

Statewide, look for highs from 75 to 79, and lows from 47 to 54.

Sunset tonight in Atlanta at 6:57 pm, and sunrise tomorrow at 7:47 am.

Trey Tonnessen

Trey grew up in the state of Arkansas, where he developed a strong love and passion for weather and athletics. In Arkansas, he saw multiple strong tornadoes decimate the areas around his hometown. That's when he decided to make his career focused on meteorology. Trey graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology.

During his career, he's already provided life-saving information working in several duty stations. While working in Gulfport, Mississippi, and Panama City Beach, Florida, he gained knowledge in tropical forecasting. He flew into Category 5 Hurricane Milton, one of the strongest hurricanes ever on record, in 2024 with NOAA and the Air Force Hurricane Hunters.
